Project Apollo - NASSP supports different levels of complexity or realism modes, so you can adjust the difficulty level you want to use. At the moment there's the quickstart mode for beginners and standard mode with and without the Virtual AGC for the advanced user.

Quickstart mode

All scenarios in the Quickstart directory (or denoted as quickstart scenarios by their names) use the "quickstart" realism mode. In this mode as much as possible is done automatically and the spacecrafts behave as much as possible like standard Orbiter spacecrafts. It is intended for beginners to get an overview over the Apollo systems without deeper knowledge about the historic Project Apollo. It's only very rarely necessary to use the panel. All (or almost all) critical maneuvers are done by autopilot and you can also fly the spacecrafts "more manually" than the real Apollo spacecrafts. The quickstart mode is saved in the scenario file by the "REALISM 0" setting.

Standard mode

All other (non-quickstart) scenarios use the "standard" realism mode. In that mode everything is as authentic as possible and you have to fly the mission (almost) like the real thing. You have to do long checklists and control the internal systems manually. The spacecrafts behave more like the real ones, the SIVB is restartable only once for example. The standard mode is saved in the scenario file by the "REALISM 5" setting or by leaving it out.
