Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It was the fifth human spaceflight of the Apollo program, and the third human voyage to the moon. Launched on July 16, 1969, it carried Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin. On July 20, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon, while Collins orbited above.

In Project Apollo - NASSP the Apollo 11 mission is available both in Quickstart mode and Standard mode.

Quickstart mode

The Apollo 11 Quickstart - Launch scenario in the Project Apollo - NASSP folder starts a new Apollo 11 mission. The following table shows the currently available mission phases together with the checklists to use:

Mission phase Checklists Scenario Remarks
Prelaunch - Launch Scenario starts 2h before lift-off, everything runs automatically. Use time acceleration up to 100x if you don't want to wait.
Launch & Earth orbit insertion - - The Saturn is controlled by the autopilot. Time acceleration is reset to 1x at T-20s automatically, you should not use time acceleration until you reached Earth orbit.

At about T+12min Engine cutoff occurs, the spacecraft is in the almost circular Earth Parking Orbit (EPO). You can control the SIVB manually now.

Standard mode
